"Dreamfuels Ltd., USA and Labland Biotech signed an agreement"    at Mysore
    24th January 2007

M/s Dreamfuels Ltd., USA and Labland Biotech signed an agreement on the 24th of January, 2007. As per the agreement M/s Dreamfuels Ltd would be the World Wide Distributors of Labland's Jatropha products. Mr. Paul S. Dalton, promoter, M/s Dreamfuels Ltd., USA and Dr. Sudheer Shetty, Managing Director, Labland Biotech signed and exchanged the agreement documents in a simple ceremony at the premises of Labland Biotech.

"NIE, Labland Biotechs signed MoU" at Mysore
    24th January 2007

Labland Biotech and the premier engineering institution of Mysore, the National Engineering College attended a joint press meet on the 24th of January, 2007 and signed an MoU to carry out research on Jatropha based biodiesel production and to develop a Jatropha-based bioenergy park to be set up in Mysore in an area of 9 acres. Dr. Geetaa Singh, Executive Director of Labland Biotech and Dr. Somashekar, Director of Centre for Research and Consultancy of NIE signed and exchanged the MoU in the presence of the press, other management committee members of NIE and Labland Biotech, and Mr. Paul Dalton, promoter M/s Dreamfuels Ltd., USA.

2nd Global Conference on “Greenfuel”– An Eco-friendly, Farm Grown Next Generation Fuel, was organised by the WESTERN REGIONAL COUNCIL of FICCI, Mumbai, on 14th September 2006, at Hotel ITC Grand Maratha Sheraton, Andheri (E), Mumbai, India. Dr. Shetty was invited by the FICCI to chair a technical session on Market Trend and Carbon Finance.

  A Workshop on Biofuel Resources was organised in Chitradurga, Karnataka State
November 8th, 2005.

A Workshop on Biofuel Resources was organised in Chitradurga, Karnataka State on the 8th of November, 2005. The workshop was jointly organised by The Deputy Commissioner's Office, Karnataka State Science and Technology Education Board, Karnataka State Land Utilization Board and the agriculture Department. Dr. Sudheer Shetty was invited as one of the speakers to speak on "Jatropha cultivation - a boon to the farmers of Chitradurga".

Jatropha seedlings of Labland Biotech being distributed to one of the beneficiary farmers by the Deputy Commissioner of Chitradurga District, Mr. Amaranarayana,IAS.	Dr. Shetty responding to queries of one of the farmers during the workshop.

The research activity on Jatropha plant pathology is under progress. Dr. N.G.K.Karanth(right), Director (R & D Biofuels) and Dr. S. Shankar Bhat, Plant Pathologist are working on a diseased Jatropha plant in the lab.
